An Umbrella Doesn't Only Protect You From the Rain

I know, you already have homeowners and auto insurance.

Terrific. They’re important to have, and it should help you to sleep better at night knowing that you are protected.

But do you have an umbrella policy?

Why not?

Let me preface this by mentioning that a Personal Umbrella Policy is extremely affordable and provides additional protection that surpasses what you get with your regular policy.

The situations in which a PUP would be important are varied, and include but are not limited to:

· A guest or babysitter has an accident in your home,

· Someone has an accident on the swing set in your yard,

· You’re burning leaves in your yard and sparks from the fire cause damage to your neighbor’s deck

· You can’t stop your car on the ice and you slide into the car in front of you (sorry to say but in the cold and snowy NE, it’s a frequent occurrence!)

And so many more incidents, all of them very understandable and not because of “extreme” neglect or lifestyle choices.

The sensible decision is to speak with your insurance agent and learn more about how a Personal Umbrella Policy can provide you with additional protection and peace of mind.
